Darrel LeJeune, editor of The Basile Weekly and a retired Basile High educator, released a new book last week about the life story of his late parents.
The memoir is titled A Tapestry of Rural Life in Southwest Louisiana: The Story of Stooge and The Ghep. The book’s back cover blurb summarizes the story as follows:

The memoir is Darrel’s fourth publication, having compiled A Photographic History of the Basile Bearcat Band, The History of the Basile Sing Out, and The History of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
